Eventually returning to her first love, medicine, Maura turned her focus to women’s health, becoming a pioneer of Bioidentical Hormone Therapy on the Gold Coast in 2003. Since then, she has remained dedicated to educating both patients and healthcare professionals on natural hormone management, menopause, and integrative care. Renowned for her clarity, humour, and no-nonsense approach, Maura is deeply committed to empowering individuals through knowledge, support, and compassionate care.

Seeking new challenges, Maura earned an Honours law degree at Monash and became a partner at Clayton Utz, one of Australia’s top law firms. As a health law specialist, she played a prominent role in shaping Australian medical legal practice and was the only Australian member of the American Association of Health Lawyers at the time.
